| Name: | Dr. Lucretia Crescent |
|---|
Name/Handle: Lulu
Age: 20
Email: dvlsdghtr@hotmail.com
AIM Screenname: LuTheDoctor
Character: Lucretia Crescant
Series: Final Fantasy VII
Age: a million. no seriously. i don't know. 26?
Gender: Female
Detailed Physical Description: In life, Lucretia had long honey-hair that fell to her thighs, though she hardly ever wore it down. Most of the time, she wore it tied back in a high ponytail, and sometimes a bun, particularly when dangerous chemicals were involved, though the shorter and more stylized hair inevitably escaped the binding to frame her face nicely. She had a pointed chin and a small nose, and her refined features, soft brown eyes, and delicately arched eyebrows lent her an air of the high society. She was rather short, 5'6" in no shoes, though she had a tendancy to wear heels, despite their rather impractical nature. Lucretia also carried with her a small pair of square wire-framed glasses; she was somewhat farsighted, and though she preferred to conduct experiments without them, she did need them when reading for any extended period of time.
These days, she is somewhat more unkempt, having spent her life inside a mako crystal for the past thirty years, but otherwise looks no different, aside from the gaping hole in her abdomen that never killed her and never healed.
Detailed Personality Description: Wickedly intelligent, Lucretia was quite cunning and took delight in absorbing every detail of every facet of every subject. With a slight grudge against the male population as a whole, which had always suggested that she tuck her intelligence away to focus on being a homemaker someday, she was determined to be a brilliant success, partly--but not only--to spite the men who wouldn't take her seriously. Lucrecia poured herself into her studies, but despite the fact that she was rather bookish and introverted, she was as a general rule friendly and kind, typically cheerful though not without a cynical streak of wit she had no problem unleashing on deserving victims.
After the disasterous Jenova Project, she was left agonized and unable to die, and after locking herself away in a mako crystal to wait out her painful immortality, Lucretia's once sure and confident personality began to fade as she spent the next thirty years questioning her every motive and berating her every mistake. Now, she tends to talk with herself a bit more than a sane person should, though sometimes the conversations remain one-sided. Regret and lamentation have replaced intellect and ambition, and she would like nothing more than a second chance to make things turn out right.
Abilities/Strengths: Behind the glassy veneer that keeps her squarely distinct from those considered entirely sane, Lucretia is still an incredibly intelligent woman. Though she has no fighting skills to speak of, the Jenova in her bloodstream does add a bit of a wildcard; she is immortal if nothing else.
Weaknesses: Aside from her utter lack of combat abilities, sanity, and an abdominal wall, Lucretia misses her family--her brilliant husband and her prodigal son, both whom she hasn't seen in thirty years. Any word of them or from them could probably sway her greatly.
Bio/History: Born to wealthy parents, Lucretia never really wanted for anything growing up. An only child, she was the sole delight of her parents, who encouraged her studies despite her gender. They even sent her to university, where she earned a BS in Biology and went on to graduate school. She was assigned to Professor Gast and began work under him on his Jenova Project, where she was quickly shunted away to assist Gast's assistant, Dr. Hojo.
She soon discovered their mutual resentment of the brilliant Professor Gast, and she proposed they conspire to cast off his shadow and achieve distinction of their own. After spending extra time together while plotting, they developed something of an attachment to each other, if only because they were working together towards the same goal.
After sharing a few too many drinks one night, they awakened to discover that they had banged. A relationship of sorts grew from there, until Lucretia put forth a theory that would change the face of the world.
They enacted a marriage and conceived a child in order to test the effects of Jenova exposure on prenatal development, but after a uterine rupture that resulted in an emergency C-section to save her son's life, Lucretia found herself unable to die due to the presence of Jenova in her system. With her abdomen ripped to shreds and no hope of actually recovering from her injuries, Lucretia let Jenova overtake her, and the next time she took note of her surroundings, she was encased in a mako crystal in an out-of-the-way cave rarely frequnted by anyone.
